I Hope everyone has a Blessed and Merry Christmas! I Hope everyone is wearing their jewelry in good health in the company of Loved Ones!
I have been very busy all week! I have been wearing these skull safety pin earrings by Loren Stewart all week. They are so light that I haven’t felt the need to weigh them. I have even bathed and slept in them. The earrings are so light and comfortable that I have forgotten that I had them on!
These light weight , edgy earrings are 14k yellow gold. I purchased mine at Barney’s 3 years ago. They are also available at Loren Stewart.
I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting the Gillian Conroy shop in New York yet. I would love to visit NY and her shop. I have had the pleasure of visiting her website. I Love it! It is very informative and charming. I don’t own any of her jewelry yet! These safety pin earrings are at the top of my list! They are edgy and classic at the same time. The classic part is that they are round at the bottom so they sit like a hoop. The safety pin earring is sold as a single so if you want a pair buy 2. Gillian offers her earrings in different metals too! I have many more Gillian Conroy picks, more on those later!
If you live in NY, go to her shop! If you cant make it there, please visit her website!
I saw these earrings and fell madly in love! Sadly, they weigh a little over 5 grams. I couldn’t help purchasing them as they were on sale 40% off and I love how obviously costume they are. The back of the rhinestones are open with the exception of the neon colored ones.
I was running really late for work one day last week! I still had a 25 min commute to work to make, buy lunch at In&Out, and have enough time to eat comfortably before work. I was in such a hurry that i forgot to put on my earrings! The horror! What to do?
Praise The Lord, there was no traffic and no long line at IN&Out! I managed to have enough time to stop at TJMaxx! I purchased these Bella Jack pineapple studs for $14.99 plus tax. I really like them, they are very light for the size. Each stud weighs a mere 3.35 grams with the clamp.
I like my costume jewelry to look like costume jewelry. I think these are beautiful, whimsical and summery. Although I would still wear them in the Winter.
I really enjoy shopping at TJMaxx. I refer to it as the Nordstrom of Manteca.
I love French wire earrings! I just don’t want to lose them! I purchase my wire clutches at Jansjewells. They are hard to find, trust me! She carries plastic stabilizing discs and other jewelry supplies as well.
My Birthday is coming up and these Skyscraper Studs by Deborah Pagani are on my wishlist. They are 18k yellow gold and white diamond pave and small baguettes. I have yet to see them in person, but I am already certain they fit my earring criteria. I would feel so glamorous wearing these! Barney’s NY carries a small selection. Deborah Pagani has the biggest selection . I Hope (PRAY) to purchase at Barney’s NY. Broken English in L.A also carry Deborah Pagani.
I very seldom buy sterling silver jewelry. Especially rings. The times that I do, it’s because the pieces are outstanding! John Hardy makes outstanding jewelry. The attention to detail is insane.
Two of my favorite rings are by John Hardy. The first is my double headed tiger ring. It’s part of the Legends Macan Collection. It has been reissued since. The new version has gemstone eyes. I wish I could afford it in 18k! These rings rival the Cartier panther rings. John Hardy 18k gold is very affordable compared to other jewelers. The second ring, I was fortunate to find at Last Call during a John Hardy Trunk Show. It has a wide band and a green amethyst. I wear it on my middle finger as it is too big for my ring finger.
I am very Happy with my purchases and recommend John Hardy Jewelry .
I feel that my money is best spent on earrings. However this necklace by Gurhan just screamed my name. I get many compliments EVERYTIME I wear it. It is super sparkly.
I had the pleasure of meeting Gurhan at Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto, Ca years ago. He doesn’t remember, I’ll never forget! I’m loosely quoting an old Yngwie Malmsteen song there . Gurhan attends many trunk shows yearly to meet and get feedback from his clientele. I love a jeweler who is willing to work with you . You can choose your metal and dimensions. Gurhan will also repurpose your old jewelry into an original Gurhan design ! That is huge as many jewelers will not work with you. I can’t wait to collaborate with him on a pair of earrings! Check out Gurhan’s gorgeous collections @ Gurhan. The Gurhan website is very informative, has beautiful photos and contains a link to Gurhan’s blog.
Pictured here are Gurhan earrings on my wish list.
What to buy a man in your life? How about a money clip? Men always seem to carry cash. I recently purchased two money clips. The first is a sterling silver Out Of Retirement Dollar Sign Money Clip from Tiffany’s. The second one, a sterling silver Prada paper clip. The Prada money clip I purchased at Barney’s. I am madly in love with both! If I were a man, I would want one. I purchased them for myself by the way.
